Seattle, WA  –  The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) will present the West coast launch of the Women in NAAAP (WIN!) conference on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond. The leadership development conference aims to serve the specific professional and personal needs of APA women; all attendees will benefit from the wide array of innovative professional and personal development workshops offered.

The theme of this WIN! Conference is “Invest In Yourself.” NAAAP-Seattle wanted to emphasize the need for people to invest in their personal and professional development.
Experts from various industries will lead fun, interactive workshops and sit on informative, insightful panels with topics such as Personal Branding, Conflict Resolution, How to Negotiate, Time Management, Parenting, Long-term Financial Planning, Financial Budgeting.
Conference attendees will be able to choose four sessions from a wide assortment of workshops/panels throughout the day.

All conference speakers were asked to share stories of how they invest in themselves. Their secrets are posted online at win.naaapseattle.org.

Certified Life Coach Rev. Theresa lp Froehlich will lead a workshop on strategic life planning. She explains that her personal purpose is to empower women and men to grow personally, intellectually, and spiritually.
A native of Hong Kong, having been born with an underprivileged background, Froehlich has a special interest in leadership and intercultural relationship. “I learned, at a very young age, the importance of self-leadership and investing in myself,” Froehlich says. “I struggled, against all odds, to purse an education and rise above the stereotypical expectations of the female gender.”
The WIN! Conference keynote speaker Phyllis Campbell, Chairman of the Pacific Northwest for JPMorgan Chase & Co., believes in the “return on investment” (ROI) equation, in which investing time and energy in oneself will ensure a valuable return. At the conference, Campbell will discuss tips that have contributed to her success and increased that return to the bottom line.

Investing in oneself means to invest in education. Registration fees range from $30-$80, with discounts for students, current NAAAP members, and early registration (by May 16). Conference sponsors include Microsoft and Clear Channel Outdoor. JP Morgan Chase will sponsor 20 students to attend the WIN! Conference. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and a swag bag from Mary Kay.
