Leadership Picnic Celebrates Unity

The Executive Development Institute (EDI) brought together ten leading programs of the Asian community by organizing a picnic at Lake Boren Park, Newcastle, on Saturday August 21st. The organizations included:

  • Asian Counseling and Referral Service
  • Asian Pacific Islander Community Leadership Foundation
  • Boeing Asian-American Professional Association
  • Puget Sound North and Chinese Institute of Engineers
  • Emerging Filipino Leaders
  • Executive Development Institute
  • Hong Kong Association of Washington
  • International Community Health Services Foundation
  • Microsoft Asian Employee Resource Group
  • National Association of Asian American Professionals – Seattle
  • Organization of Chinese Americans
  • The picnic had over 300 attendees, with information booths and representatives from the ten organizations plus many activities throughout the day.
